4 Days Of Carnival Rides, Music, Eats Set For Rotary GroveFest

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Rotary GroveFest returns to Downers Grove Thursday after a year-long hiatus due to coronavirus. The four-day festival, presented by the Rotary Club of Downers Grove, offers carnival rides, games, live music, food, a beer garden and more in the heart of the village's downtown area.

Carnival Rides and Midway

Dozens of rides and games will be set up along Rotary GroveFest's Carnival Midway. In addition to the Tilt-a-Whirl, carousel and other classics, some of the festival's featured rides include:

• Zero Gravity
• Iron Dragon
• Pharaoh's Fury
• Orbiter
• Tea Cups
• Tornado
• Combo Cars

Kids can also enjoy a large slide and a fun house.

Ticket Prices

Festival goers can buy a $30 wristband at Rotary GroveFest to get access to unlimited rides at select times. Wristband times are as follows:

• Aug. 19: 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
• Aug. 20: 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
• Aug. 21: 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
• Aug. 22: until 10 p.m.

Live Music

Each day of Rotary GroveFest will feature live music. To access the concert area and beer garden, guests must pay a $5 cover charge. Check out the music schedule below.

Proceeds from Rotary GroveFest benefit more than two dozen nonprofits in and around Downers Grove. Throughout the four-day event, a number of Downers Grove restaurants and retailers are offering Rotary GroveFest specials.
