500 donated bouquets brighten halls at Advocate Good Samaritan

DOWNERS GROVE – Floral delivery company Florists’ Transworld Delivery, Inc. (FTD) filled the halls of Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove with smiles and flowers Oct. 24, donating and delivering more than 500 bouquets to patients and team members.

The donation was a part of the national Petal It Forward effort, spearheaded by the Society of American Florists, that surprises people across the country with flowers to spread joy. According to research, more than 80 percent of Americans report that giving and receiving flowers makes them feel happy.

FTD volunteers from the Downers Grove-headquartered company worked with Good Samaritan Hospital volunteers to deliver flowers to patients, visitors and hospital team members.
