65 Ice Sculptures Make Ice Fest Largest In Village History
Downers Grove's 2023 Ice Fest opens Feb. 3. See what's in store for this beloved family-friendly event.
DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A total of 65 ice sculptures will be on display in downtown Downers Grove starting Feb. 3 for the 2023 Ice Fest, making it the biggest Ice Fest in the village to date, per the event page.
The dozens of sculptures range from company logos and wintry characters to giraffes, toothbrushes, flamingos, a kissing booth and other inventive creations.
The frosty festivities include live ice carvings at Main Street Station from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

There will also be deals and discounts and local businesses and Ballydoyle Irish Pub will keep the fun going with live entertainment starting at 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
The 65 ice sculptures are sponsored by businesses and groups in Downers Grove. Visitors can use a map to find each ice sculpture. The Downtown Downers Grove Management Corporation Corp. is also encouraging festival goers to share pics with the ice statues on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #DGIcefest23 for a chance to win a gift card.
