7-Eleven Worker Shoots Alleged Armed Robber In Oak Park: Report

The employee reportedly shot the suspect during an alleged armed robbery attempt at 7-Eleven at 240 Chicago Ave.

OAK PARK, IL — A man has been hospitalized after he was shot by a 7-Eleven employee during an alleged attempted armed robbery in Oak Park Monday night. The incident took place at approximately 11:30 p.m. at 240 Chicago Ave.

A store manager told WGN News that three men entered the 7-Eleven and walked to the back of the store. One of the men was armed, according to the manager.

An employee at the 7-Eleven then reportedly fired a gun at one suspect. The other two suspects fled and are still at large, the manager told WGN News.

Patch reached out to Oak Park Police, but they did not immediately comment or confirm the incident. WGN notes that their information about Monday's Oak Park 7-Eleven shooting came from the store manager.
