Alter Brewing Begins Canning Their Signature Beer

Local brewer Alter Brewing just began canning its signature beers. Patrons can enjoy them in the taproom until they are released locally.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Downers Grove residents who love the craft beer at Alter Brewing Company will be in for a treat this summer. The brewery just announced that it has begun canning its beer and will begin selling cans in its taproom on May 17th. Alter Brewing hopes to begin selling its beer in six-packs to local stores in the near future.

The announcement comes after a recent expansion to the brewery and taproom, which included adding 6,400 square feet to the space to accommodate a canning line, more office space and increased storage.

The first beer to be canned will be Alterior Motive, the brewery’s flagship IPA and their golden ale, Center Line. Co-founder David Yob said in a statement, “With the addition of the Alter canning line, we are excited to get more Alter Beer out to the public.”
