Another worker had been rescued Monday afternoon and was in good condition, according to an update from village officials.

Water conditions had caused the rescue efforts for the remaining worker to shift to recovery efforts.

The contractors became trapped in the storm sewer around 1 p.m. Monday.

The workers had been performing a large diameter pipe rehabilitation project helmed by Vortex Lining Systems.
