Arctic Cold To Freeze Downers Grove: Where To Find Warming Centers
Dangerously cold weather is set to chill the Chicagoland throughout the weekend. Here's where you can escape the chill in Downers Grove.
DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Arctic cold will hit the Chicagoland into Friday and Saturday night, according to meteorologists, with lows dropping below zero in some areas.
The temperature drop will bring dangerously cold wind chills as low as 30 to 35 below zero. The National Weather Service issued an “extreme cold warning” in effect from 3 a.m. to noon Friday, with a cold weather advisory in effect for the rest of the weekend.
Check on your elderly neighbors and loved ones. Keep your pets indoors as much as possible and layer up. If you see someone struggling in the street, call 911.
