'Armed And Dangerous' Batavia Shooting Suspect At Large: Cops

BATAVIA, IL — Police in Batavia are seeking a man they believe to be "armed and dangerous" in connection with a shooting that took place at Steak and Shake Tuesday. Terry W. Hunter, who police identified as the gunman, was charged with attempted murder after an investigation.

Hunter allegedly fired into a car after an argument in the drive-thru of Steak and Shake, hitting the driver in the leg. Police say he then fled and hit a parked car.

Police later located a gun in a nearby parking lot. They also found a red sedan that matched the victim's description at an apartment complex in the 1000 block of Lorilyn Circle.

If you see Hunter, police say not to approach him. Immediately call 911. Anyone with information about Hunter's whereabouts is urged to call Batavia Police at (630)454-2500.
