BARBAKOA TEQUILA DINNER SERIES: NEW CUISINE OF OAXACA

Barbakoa's Second Tequila Dinner Series Event – March 5th, 2015 from 7-9pm

DOWNERS GROVE, IL (MARCH 5, 2015) After a wildly popular inaugural event, Barbakoa (1341 Butterfield Road, Downers Grove) is following up its Tequila Dinner Series with a second event, New Cuisine of Oaxaca. The four-course dinner and tequila tasting will take place Thursday, March 5th from 7-9pm. The evening will feature the indigenous food of Oaxaca, Mexico with contemporary flare, prepared by Chef Dudley Nieto. The dinner will be paired with handcrafted cocktail tastings, prepared with fine tequila sponsors Avion, Casamigos, and Patron. Tickets can be purchased for $75 per person and include food, craft cocktails, prize drawings, and base gratuity (15%).

First Course:

Creamy squash blossom soup with chochoyotes (corn dumplings) and corn

Third Course (choice of one):

Pato Laqueado en Mole Negro

Glazed Peking duck in mole negro with verdolagas (Swiss chard)

Grilled Catch of the Day, with mashed cauliflower puree

Fourth Course:

Pastel de Chocalate Oaxaqueno

A traditional Oaxacan chocolate cake filled with guava and goat cheese
