Birck Family Donates $150K To DuPage Foundation Coronavirus Fund
The funds will help residents and families in DuPage County during the coronavirus shutdown.
DOWNERS GROVE, IL — DuPage Foundation has received a $150,000 donation from the Birck family to help aid residents during the new coronavirus shutdown. The funds bring DuPage Foundation's COVID-19 Response Fund to over $300,000 at press time.
In a statement, Chris Birck of Naperville said, "Our family is pleased to support the DuPage Foundation and other local charities in addressing the needs of our community during this pandemic. My mom, Kay, was a nurse, so healthcare is a very big part of our lives. This is truly a crisis of historic proportions."
DuPage Foundation President and CEO Dave McGowan said,"Donors like the Birck family are making it possible for us to support the not-for-profits whose vulnerable clients will need their services now more than ever."

He added, "The Foundation encourages you to continue giving directly to your favorite charities.
