Blue Jean, Clothing Drive To Benefit Homeless In DuPage County

Jolly Jeans for the Homeless is seeking donations of blue jeans and other items to aid homeless residents this holiday season.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Residents can donate gently used or new blue jeans and other items to benefit the homeless in DuPage County as part of the 2021 Jolly Jeans for the Homeless Drive.

The drive, organized by St. Joseph School and the Knights of Columbus, will be held Dec. 11 and Dec. 12 in the narthex at 4832 Highland Ave.

The following items are being sough for the Jolly Jeans for the Homeless Drive:

  • New or gently used blue jeans with the size indicated via masking tape
  • Blankets and sleeping bags
  • Canned goods
  • Cups of noodles
  • First aid kits
  • Hand warmers
  • Tents
  • Winter clothing items

Donations can be dropped off at St. Joseph School, 4832 Highland Ave. on Dec. 11 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Dec. 12 from 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The items will be passed along to DuPage PADS, Hesed House, Morningstar Mission and Pacific Garden Mission.
