AAUW Announces 2013 Scholarship Winners
Empowering women as individuals and as a community since 1881, AAUW has a long and distinguished history of advancing educational and professional opportunities for women locally, nationally, and around the globe. The Hinsdale-Oak Brook area chapter is proud to announce this year’s scholarship winners---young women from both Hinsdale Central and Hinsdale South high schools who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance. These women will use their AAUW award to further their educations at a variety of universities.

From Hinsdale Central High School, the recipients are Emma Harrison (Indiana University), Emma Jerzyk (Brown University), Lindsey Thiesfeld (Georgetown), and Lucy Wang (Yale).
From Hinsdale South High School, the recipients are Tiffany Habbal (Loyola), Samar Khan (University of Illinois), Emily Kaczmarski (Western Michigan University), Nicole Mullaney (Western Kentucky), and Evalina Pabyinski (Benedictine University).

AAUW Scholarships are funded by proceeds from the annual Scholarship Home Tour. Unique, interesting, and beautiful homes are opened to the public, and refreshments are provided at The Community Center during the afternoon of the tour. This year’s Home Tour is September 29. Tickets will be available at local retails and on line at www.hinsdale-area-aauw.com.
