The Residences at the Grove Hosting Blood Drive on March 26

The Residences at The Grove, an apartment community managed by RMK Management Corp., is partnering with Heartland Blood Centers to host a blood drive on Tuesday, March 26 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. The blood drive will be held at The Residences at the Grove, located at 2845 Easton Street in Downers Grove.

Here are tips for having a safe and successful donation experience:

• Get a good night's sleep.

• Drink an extra 16 oz. of water or nonalcoholic fluids before the donation.

• Eat a healthy meal before your donation.

• Relax, listen to music, talk to other donors or read during the donation process.

• Take the time to enjoy a snack and a drink immediately after donating.

• Do not do any heavy lifting or vigorous exercise for the rest of the day.

Remember that donors must be at least 16 years of age, weigh at least 110 lbs. and have a photo ID.
