Burglar Tried To Pry Open Door To Home In Downers Grove: Police
Police say the burglary attempt triggered the home's security alarm while the homeowner was at church.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Police say a burglar tried to pry open the door of a home in Downers Grove early Sunday morning. The incident took place in the 1300 block of Turvey Road just after 5 a.m., according to a police report.
The homeowner told police they were at church when their phone alerted them that a burglary alarm had been triggered at their home. Police say the resident dismissed the alert as a possible false alarm, but returned home later to find someone had tried to force their way into the home.
