Richard J. Kulovany Named 2026 Historian of the Year
The Downers Grove Historical Society has named Richard J. Kulovany as the 2026 Historian of the Year.His contributions span a broad spectrum of efforts to preserve the Village's architectural and natural heritage and include past leadership roles with Friends of the Edwards House, the Pierce Downer Heritage Alliance, and the Downers Grove Village Council.He is currently in his 8th year serving on the board of the Downers Grove Historical Society.
Kulovany will be honored during FoundersFest2026, a week-long series of events focused on Downers Grove history.He will be recognized at the “Night at the Tivoli” event on April 29, 2026, at 6 pm.Tickets will be available soon at www.dghistory.org.More details about Kulovany’s preservation efforts can be found at https://dghistory.org/rich-kulovany/
