This workshop could be named "Halloween, But Make It Sophisticated”. Forget the plastic spiders (for this class, anyway) and neon orange. This is Halloween for grown-ups: moody, dramatic, and just a little deliciously witchy.
We’ll play with black calla lilies, deep dark roses, thistles, dried wheat, and smoke bush to create arrangements that feel mysterious and refined—perfect for an elevated Halloween table or a quietly glamorous evening at home.
Think candlelight, deep tones, and that subtle edge of mystery that makes guests lean in and ask, “Who designed this?”
All materials needed to create your divine design are provided, along with step-by-step guidance. We provide bottled water, small snacks, and soft drinks for your enjoyment. Feel free to BYOB.
About cancellations: Due to the advance preparation for this workshop, cancellations made after October 12th are non-refundable. Cancellations prior to October 12th will receive a full refund. If you're unable to attend, we're happy to make your arrangement. Your friends can either bring it to you, or you can pick-up from the shop. You are welcome to find someone who would enjoy attending class in your place.

The League of Women Voters of Glen Ellyn will host a community meeting about election and voter data security, featuring <a href="https://cod.edu/faculty/websites/goldbergd.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">David Goldberg,</a> PhD, professor of political science at College of DuPage. Dr. Goldberg will talk about recent Supreme Court cases allowing White House to limit mail in ballots, related issues impacting the November election, and the historical strength of the decentralized electoral process in U.S. history. In addition, a representative from the DuPage Election Division will talk about what DuPage County is doing to protect data security.

Gather your coven for an unforgettable afternoon of spirits and specters at the 6th Annual Witches Walk, hosted by the Downers Grove Junior Woman’s Club!&nbsp;
🔮 What’s Brewing:
🕑 Hour of Gathering – 2:30 PM: Meet at Cadence Kitchen for a welcome cocktail and check in with your Head Witch. You’ll receive your group assignment and your list of “Local Haunts” for the evening.
🍸 Enter Summoning Sites – 3:30–6:15 PM: Use your drink tickets at each of the specially selected bars. Enjoy ~45 minutes at each stop before your Head Witch leads the way to the next destination.
🦇 A Bewitching Banquet – 7:30 PM: All witches unite at our final destination for a bewitching party including food, cash bar, and prizes for best dressed witch!&nbsp;
