Car Stolen Outside Tivoli Hotel In Downers Grove: Cops

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A car was stolen from a parking lot outside the Tivoli Hotel in Downers Grove, according to police. The victim said the incident took place sometime between 5 p.m. Monday and 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say the victim told them he parked his black 2000 Saturn in an authorized spot with the parking permit visible and then carried several bags of groceries inside. According to police, the victim later realized that his car key was missing.

The victim told police he went outside to see if he had left the key inside the car and then realized his car was no longer where it had been parked. Police said they checked the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
