Car Stolen, Vehicle Burglarized In Downers Grove

DOWNERS GROVE, IL -- Downers Grove police are investigating a car theft that was reported in the 4700 block of Roslyn Road Sunday morning. According to police, the resident's 2018 Jeep Compass was stolen from their driveway and a second car was burglarized.

The victim told police that he left his Jeep unlocked in his driveway around 9 p.m. Saturday. When he came outside the next morning around 9 a.m., he noticed his car had been stolen, police say.

According to a police report, the resident's work tools, welding hood, a car seat and other items were in the car when it was stolen.

Another vehicle at the home was reportedly burglarized, but the victim told police it appeared nothing had been taken from the second car.
