Car Vandalism Incidents Increase in Downers Grove

Incidents of car vandalism have increased recently in Downers Grove.

In the past two weeks, there have been eight incidents in which cars parked on the street had their tires slashed overnight, mostly in the northwest part of the village, according to Downers Grove police.

Overnight police patrols have been increased in the affected neighborhoods.

Residents are asked to remove cars from the street at night and to report any suspicious people seen on the streets late at night by calling 911.
