Car Window Smashed, Purse Stolen At XSport In Downers Grove

DOWNERS GROVE, IL --- A woman's designer purse was stolen Saturday afternoon after a burglar or burglars smashed the window of her Cadillac Escalade to gain access. The burglary took place while the woman was parked at XSport Fitness at 3200 Finley Rd.

According to a police summary, the victim left her car unattended around 8:30 a.m. At around 9:30 a.m., the victim found out that someone had broken into her car.

The woman went outside and discovered her car window had been shattered by the burglar(s). She told police they stole a black Yves Saint Laurent purse that had been on the floor in the back of the vehicle.
