Casten To Visit Downers Grove For In-Person Town Hall

The July 17 event will be Rep. Casten's first in-person town hall in Illinois since the pandemic began.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Rep. Sean Casten (D, IL-6) will visit Downers Grove Saturday to host his first in-person town hall since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.

Casten, who has hosted 30 virtual town halls throughout the pandemic, will meet with constituents at American Legion Post 80 at 11:30 a.m. The event, which is at capacity, will simultaneously be streamed live via Rep. Casten's Facebook page.

In a news release, Casten's team said he is "thrilled to welcome his constituents for in-person questions."

Those who attend the town hall meeting in person must wear a face mask if they have not been vaccinated for coronavirus. Attendees who have been vaccinated will not be required to wear a face mask. Seating at the event will be arranged to observe social distancing.
