Celebrate the 65th Anniversary at the Volo Museum

Last, week we spent a beautiful day traveling to Volo, Illinois, to visit the Volo Museum, established by the Grams family in 1960. The entrance and exit to all attractions offer a wonderful gift shop, the best in ice cream, delicious hand-baked treats, games, and ice-cold beer. You may choose what you would like to visit, such as the Volo Museum, the Titanic Experience, or Jurassic Park. We chose the Volo Museum, which offers a strong history of over 50 cars used in television and movies. It also provides the best classic car collection known throughout the country. The museum also displays the evolution of transportation. Throughout history, it shows covered wagons, a walkthrough of an 1885 wooden caboose, and a rare vintage camper collection.

1964 Munster Koach
This legendary car, designed by George Barris of Barris Kustoms and built by Dick and Keith Dean, is truly something to see. Constructed from three Ford Model T bodies, the Munster Koach is not just an ordinary car. It boasts a powerful 425 hp 289 engine, backed by a 4-speed transmission, and detail on the coils took 500 hours.

Bluesmobile 1975 Dodge
This iconic car will transport you back in time to the classic film "The Blues Brothers." This baby has got it all—cop tires, cop suspension, and cop shocks. This specific Bluesmobile is a piece of history, as it was originally a California Highway Patrol car that was transformed into the mock Mount Prospect police car.

Back to the Future 1981
My children's most loved movie as well as the classic car. The museum’s time-traveling DeLorean display has been a fan favorite since becoming a part of the collection in the 1990s. This display, which has been part of the museum for over 20 years, features working lights and a detailed interior.

Transformers 1977
But this isn't just any Bumblebee—this is the "Beater Bee" version, used in the unforgettable opening scene when the lovable character Sam Witwicky first laid eyes on his mechanical friend. Again, from a wonderful movie that many enjoyed.

Batman Mobile 1966
A dear friend loved every kind of Batman movie and television series. It's a true masterpiece that carries the trademarked name Batmobile and shows the trademarked Bat logos, making it one of the very few legit Batmobiles ever built. Again, this iconic vehicle was designed and built by the legendary Hollywood car customizer, George Barris.

Terminator 3 Hearse 1981
This hearse is not just any ordinary car, but one that has been modified specifically for screen use in the movie Terminator 3—the last Terminator movie that Arnold Schwarzenegger starred in. It was used for the intense graveyard shootout scene. The car displays over 100 bullet holes.

The Duesenberg
The Duesenberg, founded in 1913 by brothers August and Fred Duesenberg, was a premier American luxury automobile manufacturer known for engineering high-performance, custom-bodied vehicles, and the museum is a dealer.
