Chesterbrook Academy Students Release 2,000 Worms for Earth Day

On April 25, students celebrated Earth Day and protecting the environment by releasing 2,000 worms into their school garden

On Monday, April 25, students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Westmont explored a bug’s life in celebration of Earth Day as they released 2,000 worms throughout the school garden and in composting bins. Students dressed for the occasion in the likeness of worms, wearing worm hats that they created themselves.

Leading up to Earth Day, students learned about worms and the role they play in the environment along with the process of composting. Chesterbrook Academy teaches the importance of community and exploring nature at an early age.
