Cops Respond To 3 Car Burglaries In 1 Week In Downers Grove
According to police, two of the cars had been left unlocked.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Downers Grove Police are investigating three separate car burglaries that took place in the span of one week in the village. In two of the incidents, the vehicles had been left unlocked, police say.
The first burglary took place in the 4700 block of Roslyn sometime on March 14. The victim told police their nest camera notified them that someone was trying to enter their vehicles. The footage showed the attempted burglary took place just after 1:30 a.m., police said. According to police, a suspect left without taking anything after the home's motion lights were activated.
On March 21, a burglary was reported in the 900 block of Curtiss. The victim told police they had left their car unlocked and unattended in a private lot at 8 p.m. on March 20. Police say the victim returned to their car at 9 a.m. the following morning and noticed someone had stolen a bag of tools that contained a cordless drill and sockets.

Another burglary was reported on March 21 in the 5500 block of Webster. According to police, the incident took place sometime between 11 p.m. on March 20 and 10 a.m. on March 21. The victim told police their car was parked and left unlocked in their driveway when someone stole their car stereo.
