Curbside Composting To Begin Winter Schedule In Glen Ellyn

GLEN ELLYN, IL --- After winter officially begins, Glen Ellyn's curbside composting collection cycle will switch to its winter schedule. The new seasonal schedule will start in January and take place every two weeks into March.

Mark your calendars, as the curbside composting winter collection schedule is as follows:

• Jan. 7
• Jan. 21
• Feb. 4
• Feb. 18
• March 4
• March 18

The village will also offer curbside collection of holiday greens on select dates. Officials say the greens collection will be included as part of the regular refuse cycle on Jan. 7, 14, and 21. To get your tree picked up, you must remove ornaments, garland, lights, tinsel, and other decorations and make sure the tree is not placed in a plastic bag.
