DG Police Taking Appointments for Prescription Drug Take-Back

Downers Grove, IL - The Downers Grove Police Department is taking appointments for a prescription drug disposal event to be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 12.

Appointments must be made ahead of time by calling crime prevention specialist Stacy Blaskovich, (630) 434-5641, sblaskovich@downers.us, according to the village.

Medications will be disposed of following protocols used for disposal of drugs held as evidence. The method is safe, it doesn’t threaten drinking water and it eliminates the availability of the medications in homes, according to the village.
