DGS High School Marching Band is Hosting the Annual Music Bowl
Over 22 Marching Bands from the Chicagoland area and from Illinois will compete this weekend at DGS High School

Downers Grove South Marching Band will host the 16th Annual Marching Mustangs Music Bowl on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the Downers Grove South High School stadium. The Music Bowl will feature 22 competing bands, as well as exhibition performances by the Downers Grove South Marching Mustangs.
If you’ve never been to a marching band competition before, check this out. Students put in hundreds of extracurricular hours preparing, rehearsing, and performing shows throughout the summer and fall. Band camp week at Downers Grove South High School consisted of more than 64 hours of conditioning and learning basics, drill, formations, dances, music and putting it all together. You’ll hear great music and see exciting flag, rifle and dance routines. It’s a great way to introduce your younger band students to the excitement & fun of marching band!

Adults: $12.00 Students (age 6+) & Seniors: $8.00
Children (age 5 & under): Free

Family Plan: $35.00 Family Plan consists of a maximum of 2 adults and up to
3 students/seniors. Only 2 (non-Senior) adults allowed on a family plan ticket.
The high school bands competing include Bloom Township, Lakes Community, Amos Alonzo Stagg, East Peoria Community, Eureka, Lemont, Morris Community, Naperville North, Wheeling, William Howard Taft, Batavia, Bloomington, Huntley, Lake Park, Limestone Community, Normal Community/West, Oswego East, Plainfield Central, Plainfield North, Rock Island, Warren Township and Washington Community. Downers Grove South High School will perform in exhibition at 5:15 Pm and 9:45 PM.
