Downers Grove Business Owner Pleads Guilty To Tax Fraud: Report

He pleaded guilty to not filing taxes for seven years.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL -- A Downers Grove business owner faces prison time after he pleaded guilty to tax fraud. Stephen Keefe, 47, who owns S. Keefe Construction and Stephen Keefe Construction, entered into a plea deal in which he admitted to not filing taxes between 2010 and 2017, Daily Herald reports.

Keefe reportedly made at least $2 million in taxable income over those seven years. Federal prosecutors said Keefe's failure to file taxes cost the government roughly $380,000 in tax dollars.

Keefe is set to appear in court again on June 28 for sentencing.
