Downers Grove Coronavirus Update: 51 New Cases In Past Week
As of press time, there have been 766 confirmed coronavirus cases in Downers Grove.
DOWNERS GROVE, IL — The number of coronavirus cases in Downers Grove has increased by 7 percent in the past week, according to information from the DuPage County Health Department (DCHD).
As of Sept. 30, the village had reported 715 total cases of the new coronavirus. Those numbers had increased to 766 as of Oct. 7.
In nearby Westmont, the number of coronavirus cases had increased by 4 percent. As of Sept. 30, there had been 572 cases reported in Westmont. The total number of cases reported in Westmont as of Oct. 7 was 594.

- Sept. 2: 558

- Sept. 16: 631

At press time, there have been 22 coronavirus-related deaths in Downers Grove, according to DCHD.

According to the DCHD website, there were three active coronavirus cases in Downers Grove as of Oct. 7. In contrast, there were five active cases in Downers Grove on Sept. 30. According to county health officials, these numbers could be "much higher" due to unreported cases.
