Downers Grove Council Set to Swear-in New Members

Meeting on Tuesday will seat three new members, recognize outgoing ones for village service

As the village of Downers Grove prepares to seat three new members on the village council next week, the three outgoing members will be honored for their service to the community.

A swearing-in ceremony and reception will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 5 at the Downers Grove Village Hall, 801 Burligton Ave.

At the meeting, Mayor Martin Tully and new Council members William Waldack, Gina Vattimo, and William White, will be sworn into office.

The three outgoing council members, Geoff Neustadt, Sean Patrick Durkin and Becky Rheintgen will be recognized for their service. A reception will be held in the Committee Room following the Council meeting, and the public is invited to attend.
