Classic Cinemas and the Education Foundation of Downers Grove School District 58 are excited to host an evening with Poi Dog Pondering

Downers Grove, IL - Classic Cinemas and the Education Foundation of Downers Grove School District 58 are excited to host an evening with Poi Dog Pondering on Thursday, April 23rd, 2015, at the Tivoli Theatre, 5021 Highland Avenue in downtown Downers Grove. Doors open at 6:30 PM and the concert begins at 7:30 PM.

The two previous Poi Dog Pondering shows at the historic Tivoli Theatre received rave reviews and played to sold out audiences. To add to the amazing vibe, Classic Cinemas has increased the size of the Tivoli Theatre stage by 50 percent, which will only amp up the energy the band delivers.

“It should be just spectacular,” says Classic Cinemas’ CEO Chris Johnson. “The larger stage will naturally bring the band and the audience together for an amazing show.”
Poi Dog Pondering is well known for its orchestral arrangements that feature elements of electronic, house and soul music blended into their the acoustic rock style. The band relocated to Chicago in the early 1990s and developed a loyal local following.

The Tivoli Theatre is the new-favorite venue to host musical performances already this year, including the planned Million Dollar Quartet on April 14 and, most recently, the two-night sold out shows by The Jayhawks.
