Downers Grove Home Burglarized While Family Out To Dinner: Cops

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Police are investigating a home burglary that took place in Downers Grove Friday evening while the residents were out briefly eating dinner. The break-in took place in the 6500 block of Hathaway Dr. sometime between 9 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., according to police.

The victim told police they left for dinner with their family around 9 p.m. and returned to find someone had forced their way into the back door of their garage. Police say the suspect or suspects stole cash, bottles of perfume, and multiple bracelets.
