Downers Grove March For Our Lives: Foster, Casten To Speak

The student-led march against gun violence will include speeches by Rep. Bill Foster (D) and Congressional candidate Sean Casten.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Downers Grove residents will take to the streets Saturday to join the nationwide March for Our Lives in protest of gun violence. The event, organized by area students, will feature speeches from prominent politicians, including Rep. Bill Foster (D) and Sean Casten, the Democratic nominee for Illinois's 6th Congressional District.

The event will begin at 11 a.m. at Downers Grove North High School.

The student-led march comes just over a month after 17 people were killed when a gunman opened fire on Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. Sister marches across the country will march to show support for survivors of the attack, who plan to march in Washington D.C.
