Downers Grove North Boys Swim and Dive Places Fourth in Conference Championships

The Downers Grove North Boys Varsity Swim and Dive Team placed fourth in the West Suburban Conference Silver Division Championships on Feb. 6 and 7 at York Community High School. Hinsdale Central won the conference title, edging out rival Lyons Township. LT won both the Fresh/Soph and JV competitions, with Hinsdale Central coming in second. DGN placed fifth in the JV and 6th in the Frosh/Soph divisions.

The Downers Grove North Trojans placed fourth in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 3:31.13 from Hugo Martinez (Sr.), Sean Lyons (Sr.), Ben Ellstrom (Fr.) and Bob Bonanno (Sr.), who also placed fourth in both the 50 and 100 Yard Freestyle events. Senior Brendan Dingle placed fourth in the Junior Varsity 50 Yard Free event. Freshman Lukas Elisha took first place in the Fresh/Soph Diving competition.
