Downers Grove North Boys Swim And Dive Team Falls to Oak Park River Forest

The Downers Grove North Boys Swim and Dive Team lost to Oak Park River Forest on Friday night.

However the Trojans had several standout performances, including first place finishes in the 50 Yard Freestyle events for Bob Bonanno (Varsity) and Eric Marcanio (Fresh/Soph).

DGN took the top two spots in the 1 Meter Diving competition, with Ryan Murphy placing first and Adan Calleja placing second. Luc Collo won the Fresh/Soph 100 Yard Butterfly, and Jaden Ryden placed first in the Fresh/Soph 500 Yard Freestyle event.

On Saturday, the Trojans placed 5th overall at the Conant Invitational in Schaumburg. The divers continued their strong season with Adan Calleja placing first in the Class B event and Ryan Murphy placing 2nd in the Class A competition.

Senior Sean Lyons took first in both the 200 Meter IM (B) and 200 Meter Butterfly (B) events. Senior Bob Bonanno placed second in the 200 Meter Freestyle (A) race. Senior Hugo Martinez placed second in both the 100 Meter Backstroke (B) and the 100 Meter Butterfly (A).
