Downers Grove North Girls Swimming Wins WSC Silver Division Meet

Led by sophomore Lindsay Mathys and senior Emily Albrecht, Downers Grove North won the 2014 West Suburban Conference - Silver Division Girls Swimming and Diving Championships. The conference was held at York High School on October 31 and November 1, 2014. DGN won with 255 points, two more than Hinsdale Central.

While winning the 200 free and 100 free events, Lindsay Mathys set meet records in both events and a pool record in the 200 free. Emily Albrecht (50 free and 100 back) also won two events. Seniors Gabriele Serniute (200 IM) and Daria Wick (100 butterfly) also won individual events and the team also won the 400 free relay.

The next meet for DGN is the IHSA Sectional meet on November 15 which will also be at York.
