Downers Grove North Students Recognized in Congressional Art Competition

Downers Grove North High School students were awarded third place, fourth place and crowd favorite in the 11th district’s 2015 Congressional Art Competition, an annual contest for high school students.

“It was wonderful to see so many talented young men and women enter this year’s competition,” Rep. Bill Foster said in a statement. “I look forward to seeing the winning pieces in the Capitol when I am on my way to vote and in my offices in Aurora, Joliet, and Washington, D.C.”

This year, Congressman Foster held an online contest on his Facebook page to determine a crowd favorite. The winner of the inaugural “Everybody’s a Critic” Award was Dethrose by Claire Pikul of Downers Grove High School.
