Downers Grove Park District Offers Dog Daze, Flannel Fest, Rare Bees Event In September

The Downers Grove Park District is offering family-friendly (and dog-friendly!) and seasonal events throughout September.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — The Downers Grove Park District will host Dog Daze, Flannel Fest, The Buzz About Rare Bees and other fun and educational events throughout September.

On Sept. 2 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., the park district will host Party in the Park at Hooper's Hollow. The free event will feature arts and crafts activities, giveaways and the opportunity to socialize with other residents.

At Lyman Woods on Sept. 12 at 10 a.m., The Buzz About Rare Bees will be hosted by a local bee expert and pollinator ecologist, KC Carter. Carter will share information about native bees and how residents can help pollinators thrive in their own yards. If weather permits, attendees will head outdoors to spot bees.
