Downers Grove Park District Updates Sports Policy Amid Pandemic

On July 29, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity released a new All Sports Policy effective August 15, 2020. This guidance under the Restore Illinois Plan pertains to all youth and adult recreational sports, including, but not limited to, school-based sports (IHSA & IESA), travel clubs, private leagues and clubs, recreational leagues and centers, and park district sports programs.
The Downers Grove Park District is reviewing this information and our staff will be restructuring programs to meet the guidelines as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience as we work to provide valuable alternatives to areas that do not allow competitive play and other restrictions. Once our plans are finalized, we will update the community on our District website at dgparks.org. Registered participants will receive an email with additional information.
