DOWNERS GROVE, IL — The Downers Grove Public Library is set to reopen Feb. 1. The library had been closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the reopening comes as DuPage County moves back to tier 2 mitigation plans.

When the library reopens, visitors will be required to wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth and will be limited to a one-hour stay. The Forest Avenue entrance will be the only entrance open at the library until around Feb. 15, according to a news release.

Curbside service will still be available via the Curtiss Street entrance.

In the news release, library spokesperson Cindy Khatri wrote, "This announcement is made with the acknowledgement that the library will be prepared to reopen, but the reality of this fast-changing public health situation may impact those plans before they can be enacted, or soon after implementation, as it did in March and November."
