Downers Grove To Vote On 13-Apartment Mixed-Use Development

The development would feature four one-bedroom apartments and nine two-bedroom apartments at at 5112-5120 Forest Ave.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Downers Grove Village Trustees will vote Tuesday on a planned unit development and special use permit request for a 13-unit mixed use apartment building at at 5112-5120 Forest Ave.

The request received a unanimous recommendation for approval from the planning and zoning commission at its Sept. 21 meeting.

Petitioners are proposing four one-bedroom apartments and nine three-bedroom apartments.

According to village documents, the building's basement will house 21 parking spaces. The first floor will comprise a 13,820 square foot of retail space intended for a restaurant, along with four parking spaces.

On the second floor, there will be five residential units and 4,200 square feet of office space. The third floor will have eight residential units.

The village meeting will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Downers Grove Village Hall.
