DuPage Basket Brigade Collecting Goods For Homeless In Glen Ellyn
Glen Ellyn Police Station is accepting donations through Nov. 17.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — The DuPage County Basket Brigade is already getting into the giving spirit of the holiday season by setting up a donation center in Glen Ellyn to help homeless families. Through Nov. 17, residents can drop off non-perishable foods and home care items at Glen Ellyn Police station.
The Basket Brigade will use the donated items to fill baskets and bags to the brim with items to brighten the season for the homeless.

- Perishable foods
- Toothpaste and toothbrushes
- Deodorant
- Shampoo and conditioner
- Unscented soap
- Gloves, hats, mittens
- Feminine care products
- White tube socks
Glen Ellyn residents can drop off items in the police station lobby at 65 S. Park Blvd. There are several other drop-off locations throughout DuPage County. Check out the full list at the DuPage Basket Brigade website.
The DuPage Basket Brigade, which is completely run by volunteers, aims to gift 500 family baskets and 250 individual bags to homeless people throughout the area in 2017.
