DuPage Medical Group Rebrands As Duly Health And Care

The name change aims to reflect the health care system's "continued growth and evolution."

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — DuPage Medical Group has rebranded itself to be called Duly Health and Care, the health care system said in a news release. The shift comes roughly two weeks after the medical group announced plans to partner with Quincy Medical Group, a physician-owned organization with 18 locations.

Thus, the new name aims to reflect the health care system's "continued growth and evolution," along with its mission to foster more patient-centered care, the news release said.

“From our very beginning, we have been on a mission to deliver exceptional care experiences and health outcomes by focusing on the relationship between individuals and their physicians and care teams,” said Dr. Paul Merrick, who is co-chairman of the board, founder and Chief Physician Executive.

Merrick added, “We are committed to our belief that health isn’t just the absence of sickness, but an ongoing pursuit of every person’s extraordinary potential.”

"Duly is much more than a name – it’s a promise to practice health and care as intended. The word ‘duly’ means doing things properly, with care, at the right time,"Co-Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, said in a statement.

Nelson went on, "That’s the commitment we make every day to each other and to the communities we serve.”

The rebranding also comes less than a month after DuPage Medical Group revealed it had experienced a data breach that may have compromised the personal information of as many as 600,000 patients.
