Empty Dutch Farms Egg Carton Found At Scene of Egging
Neighbor may have heard eggs striking house while owners were out of town, police said.

Downers Grove police are investigating an act of vandalism when a house was found covered in egg yolk after an apparent egging.
A man who was checking his neighbor’s house in the 1700 block of Chicago Avenue while they were out of town call police when he noticed the home’s exterior splattered with eggs around 11:12 a.m. Oct. 12.
The man said he was at home the evening before when he heard two car doors slam shut at Chicago and Lee around 10 p.m. He advised that it may have been the eggs striking his neighbor’s house.

The man’s teenage daughter said she heard a group of unknown male and female voices and talking and running westbound on Chicago Avenue at approximately the same time.
The police officer inspected the exterior of the house and found that vandals had thrown an unknown number of eggs at the south and west side of the residence.

Also found was an empty, 18-count, Dutch Farm egg carton near the garage door and three unbroken eggs under a bush.
