DGN Presents "Little Shop of Horrors"

Downers Grove North High will present its fall musical, "Little Shop of Horrors," at 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday, Nov. 5 and6 and 3 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 7. Tickets cost $7 for students and $8 for adults.

The show represents a real challenge for the cast and crew, requiring a series of puppets to portray Audrey II, one of the main characters, who is an alien plant from outer space. The audience will see the talking and singing plant grow from a seedling to a man-sized monstrosity.

This is the first time "Little Shop of Horrors" is being performed at North, and also the first rock-and-roll musical performed at the school in a decade, said Demetrios Pappageorge, the director.
