Joseph Drouhin Farm Dinner at Mon Ami Gabi

With summer right around the corner, there’s nothing better than reveling in the bounty of the season and indulging in fresh, local fare. French favorite Mon Ami Gabi (260 Oakbrook Center) is getting back to basics and celebrating the simple pleasures of fresh ingredients and fantastic wine with its Joseph Drouhin Farm Dinner. “Localvores” and foodies alike will love sampling the variety of Joseph Drouhin wines including the St. Veran Chardonnay, "Vaudon" Chablis 1er Cru, and Brouilly Gamay Beaujolais perfectly paired with their meals.

The evening will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5, with a reception featuring a refreshing lemonade cocktail alongside a “Farm Fresh” Fruit and Vegetable Stand complete with roasted vegetable tarts, tomato-basil gazpacho shooters, seasonal fruit and berry salad, and sliced meats and cheeses. Utilizing the season’s best ingredients sourced from nearby farms, an intimate family style meal will follow, including items such as Garden Greens and Vegetable Salad, Roasted Amish Chicken Breast with Lemon Butter, Grilled White and Green Asparagus, and Roasted Spring Lamb Rack with Apricot Glaze, among other delectable side dishes all prepared by Executive Chef Bruce Williams. To sweetly top things off, guests can indulge in a to-die-for community dessert table. The cost is $65 per person (plus tax and gratuity), and guests are encouraged to call the restaurant at 630-472-1900 to reserve their spot for this unique and exciting dining experience.
