Every Saturday morning you may have noticed a group of cyclists leaving from the Lemon Tree for a ride. We are the Pedal Heads and we are training to ride up to 200 miles for the MS Ride. We have raised close to $35,000.00 and are at 69% of our goal of $50,000.00. The ride is held in DeKalb on June 23rd and 24th. In an effort to reach our goal, we are holding our 2nd annual Lemonade Stand in front of the Lemon Tree this Friday from 5 to 7 pm.
The Pedal Heads team has 130 members and is the largest team registered for the MS Ride. (There are close to 200 hundred teams doing the ride this year.) We are also the top fundraising team. Most of the members of the team are a part of the Downers Grove Bike Club. We are passionate about cycling and passionate about helping the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to find a cure and offer support to those who have this dreadful disease.
