The Christian tradition teaches that God actively seeks a relationship with us and plants seeds of spiritual significance in every moment of our lives. Our challenge, especially today, is to accept God's gift of faith and nurture it. On Saturday, April 9, 2011, Mayslake Ministries of Lombard, Il will host a morning with Jeremy Langford, editor of Cardinal Bernardin’s bestselling book, "The Gift of Peace" and the author of numerous books, including "Seeds of Faith: Practices to Grow a Healthy Spiritual Life", from 9:00am-Noon at the Doubletree Hotel, 2111 Butterfield Road, Downers Grove. Mr. Langford will explore practices--ancient and new--that help nurture a healthy spiritual life, from prayer and solitude to friendship, service, and even doubt. Seekers and lifelong believers will deepen their faith in practical and profound ways. Additional titles by author, Jeremy Langford, will be available for purchase. Mr. Langford will do a book signing at the conclusion of the event.
The cost is $35 per person and includes a continental breakfast. Register online at www.mayslakeministries.org or by phone at 630-268-9000. Master Card and Visa accepted.
