Atlas Obscura's Wonder from Home provides incredible experiences about the world we live in and would like to share. Now, more than ever, we must try to stay connected.
The Secret Arts: Chlorophyll Photography (June 17)

This iteration of Secret Arts we’ll discuss Chlorophyll Photography, or the art of printing photos on leaves.
Pollinators 101 (June 19)

Join us for this buzzworthy event, and learn about the diversity of the world’s pollinators, why they are important, and how we can help lessen their decline. Presented in partnership with the Hive Supply, Chicago’s beekeeping supply store, we’ll also learn about beekeeping, honey bees, and hive inspections. This experience will allow guests to take a look into the world of urban beekeeping and pollinator conservation. All questions will be answered by an experienced beekeeper and entomologist.

Dino 101 (June 19, but multiple dates beginning May 29)

We’re throwing a dinosaur party with Dustin Growick of YouTube’s “The Dinosaur Show.”
Each live, Friday night session of Dino 101 will have a different adult-focused, dinosaur-inspired theme, replete with a bingo board drinking game. If you love this experience, you can even travel with Dustin on the Atlas Obscura Dinos and Dunes in the Colorado Desert trip.
Travel the Oregon Trail Live (June 20)
7 p.m. EDT // $5 per person
During this one-hour virtual tour of the actual Oregon Trail route’s historic sites, you’ll unearth forgotten stories, meet unexpected characters, and discover lost secrets of the famous journey. Unlike the pioneers of yore, or the players from the popular game (also of yore), you don’t have to go it alone. You’ll have expert hosts Michael Salgarolo and Kylie Holloway (Ride or Die: Oregon Trail Live) to lead you down the right pathways, and avoid the deepest pitfalls.
