Fireworks, Parade Planned For 4th of July In Downers Grove

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — It's hard to believe Fourth of July is already here, but Downers Grove is prepared to celebrate with a parade and fireworks show on July 4.

The village's Independence Day parade will step off from Main and Sherman Streets at 1 p.m. Participants will make their way down Main Street and the parade will come to a close at Warren Avenue.

This year, the parade grand marshal is Downers Grove native and WGN 720 radio host Jon Hansen.

Once night falls, residents can head to 75th Street and Lemont Road to watch the 2023 Downers Grove-Woodridge Fireworks Show. The fireworks display will start around 9:45 p.m.
